The Mandalorian: Giancarlo Esposito hints at new Baby Yoda powers

Spoil Yoda might have more powers than The Mandalorian has discovered sol distant.

Though we've seen Grogu using his Pull telekinesis powers quite a lot, and saw him meditating atop the Sighted Stone, it seems the little ill guy has more tricks up his arm – which might explain why Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito, has been so desperate to get hold of him.

"I am going to get this nipper, and it's for a very different reason than many people recall," Esposito same at GalaxyCon (H/T WRAL). "This child has magic powers, 50 years old, and can encounter the future, and we want everyone to know, eventually connected this show, that this tiddler could hold open our universe."

Gideon has kept his cards pretty roughly his chest about why exactly atomic number 2 wants the Tike so much, though it's clear it has something to do with Grogu's eminent "M-count" – which way midi-chlorians, the tiny animate thing life take form that give the Jedi their Force sensitiveness. It's been speculated that the Empire want to expend Baby Yoda in experiments to make Snoke, or a dead ringer body for Emperor Palpatine, but information technology seems the real result is going to cost more complicated, considering the Small fry manifestly holds the paint to the existence's survival. Positive, in that location's the fact that Anakin Skywalker was having visions of the next in the prequel trilogy – and we all know how that clothed…

This is also an indication that we'll probably be seeing Baby Yoda once again in The Mandalorian season 3, later Luke Skywalker took him away for Jedi training. As yet, plot details on the fractional series are being kept tightly covert, just a recent report indicates that The Book of Boba Fett, which is due tabu this twelvemonth, will be like "The Mandalorian season 2.5," with characters ford over. If that's the case, we can expect to determine more about the third Mando series formerly Boba Fett's spinoff gets started on Walter Elias Disney Plus.
